Teatime @ delicious, Midvalley. First time linking photos from Flickr.

The recent lack of update on food is kinda boring and dull though there are still heaps of photos from Beijing left unedited.

Beijing Beijing, I miss you much :(

Oh how I just wish to get these over with, Final Project Studio 2 and Graduation Campaign!
Breathing will be a lot easier then.

Back from Beijing!

Back from Beijing last Monday morning after a 2 hour delay due to the snowy weather.
Finally found some tiny bit of time to blog it.
Here's a quick overview on our 5 days trip!

This is their humble university which they claimed was quite small compared to others.
They obviously haven't seen mine :)

First thought, Woah, yellow leaves. Snap snap click click at every corner.

Beautiful red leaves basking in the sun.

Autumn is in the air! Enjoying the last few days before frosty winter arrives.

Walk around the campus. Windy and chilly but photography haven.

RM1 for 9 of these sugary goodies! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside :)

Day 2. Sightseeing Day!
I call it the 3 in 1 mix. Summer Palace. Tiananmen Square and Olympic Stadium.
Traveled in the Beijing Subway. It brought us to these very beautiful places!

Overview of Suzhou Street in Summer Palace

Me taking a picture of me with my RM29 scarf.

The last lotus before winter arrives.

The view to die for! Absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking.
More photos of Summer Palace in the next post. There are just too many!

After a wonderful teatime at McDonalds, we took the subway to Tiananmen Square.
The time was around 6pm but the sky darkened fast during Autumn nights.

We made a random decision to visit the Olympic Stadium right after that!

Bird's Nest in full glory.

Water Cube so blue.

Had instant noodles for dinner in between both stadiums in the chilly evening.
What an experience!

The next day was spent shopping at Uniqlo and H&M :D Lalalala. To my other two members, thank you for being so patient.

Then came the Award Night the next day.

Everything bright and dramatic.

*gasp*

Chubby! With our names on screen!
I cringe at the way they pronounced my name now but was too excited then.

Love the pig's expression. Priceless. Thank you Mr Who-Blocked-My-View.

The wooden award.
Able to withstand harshness of Beijing's cold weather and physical damage.

The certificate.

Celebrated our victory at a nearby cafe.

Ate like a starved pig at 10.30pm. Typical late event.

This is the view from outside our room. The cafe is next to the fountain.

At 2am, it started snowing. I was over excited! Sms-ing and MSN-ing people back in KL.

The next day, I saw SNOW! Real white powdery snow!
Not a very pleasant experience dragging my luggage to the main entrance in this weather.
Thanks to their policy of not allowing taxis into the campus area.

On our way to the airport. So Christmasy.

More pictures next post! I still miss Beijing except for the freezing weather.

Suddenly Beijing!

Hey all, Benjamin, Sue Lin and I will be off to Beijing tonight for 5 days! (Wednesday - Sunday)
Will blog all about it when I come back.
Chubby says hi. Dominic is too excited to comment.

Summer Palace. I would very much want to visit.

Forbidden City.
Like how Facebook, Twitter, Blogspot and Flickr are all "forbidden" in China but fear not. We will try our best to update at www.kuronoir.net (Benjamin's blog!) Stay tuned and bon voyage!

looking back

Oh look, an update!
Digging through the depths folders of my pendrive since 2007,
I found these hidden "gems"

First Year First Term.
Design 1 - Final Project. Theme : Culture (Baba&Nyonya)
What in the world was I thinking back then???
Menakutkan.

First Year Second Term.
For Letterform & Calligraphy. Theme : Playdoh
o.O

On the other hand, extremely excited for next week. This weekend will be hectic!

Saturday, October 3

mooncakes and more.

To all my friends, my personal portfolio is finally up and running at
dominicchin.com

Happy Mooncake Festival to all who celebrate!
The two mooncakes that I wanted were sold out on Thursday night.
So I got these instead!

Snow skin Red bean paste with Mango custard

Golden Snow Skin with Tiramisu and Kahlua Paste.
It is really covered in edible gold dust. How regal.

Both from Chynna, Hilton KL at RM13.65 each. YUMMEH!

The nephew that stares at me like I'm some sort of alien but all I wanted is to pinch his cheeks!

Splash! Favourite photo of the week. So intense!

Papaya leaf. After the rain.
The details are gorgeous!

Just completed download for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days! Will I be able to find time to play?
Stay tuned.

makan-ed - makan-ed @ nikko

Backdated food update.
A few weeks ago. Dinner at Toh Lee Restaurant, Nikko Hotel.

Warning : Utter nonsense at the bottom of this post. You have been warned.

The striking red menu

Love the jellyfish and century egg starter.

All the yummy fishies.

Almond and longan dessert.

Centerpiece for a bridal event happening this Saturday. Cake and fresh roses.

Sometimes the company is more important than the food that's being served.
Simple Chinese food at its best.

I crave for mooncakes badly, especially those from Hilton.

Monday, September 21

finally, an update 8D

Selamat Hari Raya to all my friends who celebrate!
Visited a mum's friend. Lunch was absolutely yummy!
The nasi briyani, cookies, ketupats and that memorable satay sauce :)

Went through all the photos taken during the past week taken at a showroom.

Give me a moment. Genius thinking.

My favourite photo! Such a priceless expression.

Struggling to break loose

Almost bashful laugh

Many attempts to get him to laugh

Staring into blank space

Is that a putty tat I see?

In full bloom

Photoshop fun! My new pair of sneakers at the gallery.

Better shots of the works below!

*gaspeh* No photography allowed :O

Internship is keeping me real busy!
I miss those carefree days.
I miss updating this blog.

Wednesday, September 9

back to class with surprises!

I never thought I'd see my works being framed on the walls of my college's gallery.
My hand was shaking while taking these pictures. I was too excited!

Personal Portfolio. All the scripting/coding til 3am in the morning paid off!

Is your kid chubby?

Internship officially starts tomorrow! I'm nervous yet excited at the same time.
Hopefully KTM doesn't screw with my planning tomorrow.
For once just let everything go smoothly. That'll make my day.

New trailer for Princess and the Frog.

Watched UP for the third time in 3D. Yes, I love this movie way too much to describe it in words.
While the 3D experience is something different, wearing those glasses made me feel dizzy.

Oh, did I mention how much I love the soundtrack as well?

Saturday, September 5

oh the beautiful sunset

On the way to Nikko Hotel in the car with the window open.
I just had to post these up!

Yay for optimism!

Wednesday, September 2

We leave no puzzle unsolved.

Currently into Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, as well as :
Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney Trials & Tribulations
and Pokemon Platinum.

This sequel just came out a few days ago in English. I've never played to first one before though.

It's a point and click game with an animated storyline that requires players to solve various puzzles instead of smashing the pulp out of the enemies. A much needed exercise for my brain which has been dead for more than 2 weeks.

The setting and art direction is amazing (2D drawings with no shading!) with characters that bring the story to life. My favourite being Luke (the boy in blue)

English game trailer.

Third installment to the series. Japanese trailers always seem more exciting!

And a prequel to the trilogy!

Movie scheduled to be out this December as well! Sadly it's in Japanese...

To think I just discovered all these yesterday!

"A true gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved."
Winning line!

Sunday, August 30

ramadhan santapan @ the living room

Attended the Buka Puasa Buffet at The Living Room, Westin last Thursday.

Of course, on our way there (like every other dinner), there are obstacles. This time, it would be the rain.

Back to the dinner. The buffet boasts a variety of 700 dishes from each restaurant.
That's a lot to stomach down in one night!

Nothing like a plate of fresh Salmon Sashimi to start the meal!

Bubur Kelantan - Photographed but did not try.

Nasi Briyani and Roast Chicken. The rice is yummy!

Spaghetti Bolognaise from Prego.

Mud Pie, also from Prego.

Mud Pie close up.

After a few dishes, I headed straight to my favourite course, DESSERT!
Yay Chocolate Fountain!

For dipping.

Chocolatey goodness.

Pomegranate.

Photographed but did not try.

Same as above. There was just too much to eat!

Jelly :) Something sour and refreshing at least.

Stay tuned for more! :D

30% discount. Monthly pleasure.

Also, I went to watch UP again last Friday. I just like the movie too much!
Anyone for round 3?

Lastly, Happy 52nd Birthday Malaysia!
